Per diem allowances in AKT collective agreements


Collective Agreements for employees in road haulage and bus and coach transport

In road haulage sector, the per diem allowance is accrued according to the Article 18, and in bus and coach transport sector according to the Article 16 of respective Collective Agreements.

When an employee is prevented from taking a meal in his/her regular location for 10 hours, he/she will receive a partial daily allowance, the rate of which is € 12.60.

When an employee is prevented from taking a meal in his/her regular location for 24 hours and he/she takes his/her daily rest period of more than 12 hours in a strange location, he/she receives a raised daily allowance, the rate of which is € 35.00. (This regulation is not included in the Collective Agreement for bus and coach transport).

Terminals and Dockers

When an employee has to go to another location for work and is prevented from returning home for the night, in addition to accommodation and travel expenses he/she will be paid a per diem allowance according to the State Travel Regulations.

Partial per diem allowance is € 16.00

Per diem allowance is € 35.00.

If an employee has to leave the terminal or the warehouse for job duties and he/she is prevented from taking a meal at home, at the terminal or the warehouse, he/she will be paid meal allowance, the rate of which is € 8.75.

Travel expenses are reimbursed according to the Matkahuolto Travel Regulations.

Collective Agreement for Vehicle Maintenance and Repairs

Collective Agreement (Article 15, item c) per diem allowances: Per diem allowance € 35.00, partial per diem allowance 16.00, and overnight travel allowance € 10.00.

When an employee has to, under the order of his/her employer, spend a night (a 24-hour period) outside his/her regular location, a per diem allowance of € 35.00 will be paid.

When an employee is prevented from having a meal at work or at home, he/she will be paid a partial daily allowance, the rate of which is € 12.60. When the hindrance lasts up to 20 hours, a partial per diem allowance will be paid twice.

Collective Agreement for drivers in Commercial and Food Sectors

Collective Agreement Article 10.

When an employee is prevented from having a meal at his/her regular location for 10 hours, he/she will be paid a partial per diem allowance, the rate of which is € 14.50.
Partial per diem allowance is paid for every full 10 hour period.

When an employee has to spend a night in strange location and if the employer has not provided him/her accommodation free of charge, he/she will be paid € 32.40.

Collective Agreement for drivers in Graphic Industry

According to the Collective Agreement of the Graphic Industry drivers, Article 29, item 3, the partial per diem allowance is € 13.00.
